1. Introduction

VizTools is a free suite of professional productivity tools for product managers, freelancers, and teams. We built VizTools because good tools should be accessible — not paywalled — and because the data you create should stay yours.

We take privacy seriously. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. There are no surprises here. If you have questions, email us at privacy@viztools.app .

We collect only what is necessary to operate the service. Here is a complete picture:

To be explicit about what we do not do:

• We do not set cookies of any kind (analytics or otherwise).
• We do not use tracking pixels or fingerprinting.
• We do not serve third-party advertising.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal data.
• We do not collect payment information (VizTools is free).
• We do not track you across other websites.
• We do not collect data from users who are not signed in, beyond the anonymous aggregate analytics described above.

4. How Your Data Is Used

Each piece of data we collect has a single, specific purpose:

• →Analytics data — used to understand which tools are being used and identify areas for improvement. Data is aggregate only; no individual is identifiable.
• →Authentication data (name + email) — used to identify your account, display your name in the UI, and associate your saved outputs with you. Never used for marketing.
• →Saved outputs — stored to make them accessible from your dashboard across devices. We do not process, read, or use these for any other purpose.

5. Data Retention

• →Analytics — retained as aggregate statistics with no personal identifiers. No time-bound deletion needed as no personal data is stored.
• →Account data — retained until you delete your account. You can request account deletion at any time by emailing privacy@viztools.app.
• →Saved outputs — retained until you delete them. You can delete individual items from your dashboard at any time, or request bulk deletion by email.

6. Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction — request correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion — request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Portability — request a machine-readable export of your saved outputs.
• Objection — object to any processing we carry out (though our processing is minimal by design).

7. GDPR Compliance

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), the following applies:

• →Lawful basis for analytics — legitimate interest (understanding how our service is used to improve it). This is proportionate given no personal data is stored in analytics.
• →Lawful basis for authentication and saved outputs — performance of a contract (providing the save-to-dashboard feature you have requested by signing in).
• →Data processor — Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication) acts as our data processor. Google participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, providing adequate safeguards for transatlantic data transfers.
